Case study shows incremental revenue growth and reveals benefits of real time campaigns
Sydney: 24th September 2015 – Emagine International, a specialist provider of real-time contextual marketing software and managed services, has today published the results of a recent implementation for a tier 1 operator that demonstrates a dramatic 50% growth in data bundle sales for eligible customers. Following implementation of Emagine’s Real-Time Event Decisioning (ERED) Platform, the operator benefitted from at least a 157% rise in offer adoption rates, when compared to the same “batch” campaign. In another use case, customers bought 253% more ‘Airtime Advance’ in the real-time campaign v’s the equivalent “batch” campaign. Emagine’s platform also proved its ability to generate between 1.5 and 2.5 times greater results than traditional batch or near real-time campaigns.
Emagine’s Real-time Event Decisioning platform enabled the operator to make decisions based on real-time network triggers, allowing them to communicate the right marketing offer to the right person in real time. The platform ingested over 1.5 billion streaming network events per day, but took an average of 450 milliseconds to ingest data, detect an event, allocate an offer and communicate this to the customer, ensuring the operator was able to dynamically react to customer activity and offer a personalised experience.
After selecting ERED, the operator immediately launched 2 use cases to enhance business benefits, improve customer satisfaction and reduce churn:
- Data Bundle Resign: The operator deployed a Data Bundle Resign campaign, which provided contextual, real-time offers to customers that were about to run out of bundle. Through this timely intervention, customers avoided out of bundle fees, which were reduced by 5.2 times over, while the operator increased data bundle sales by 50%.
- Airtime Advance (IOU): The operator targeted “high value” customers about to run out of credit and offered them an advance on their airtime, all in real time. As a result of deploying the Airtime Advance campaign, offer adoption rate increased by 157%, while customers bought 253% more Airtime Advance. This approach was proven to be exceptionally beneficial for the operator to deliver an incremental lift of up to USD $30,000 per month from this single campaign.
